THE EQUIPMENT
My camera of choice is a Canon EOS 1Ds
Mark III full frame, 21 mega pixel, SLR with a trusty 70-200
2.8 IS L
series lens attached. I also carry a Canon 5D full frame,12.8 mega pixel as a backup.
Most all of
my lenses are fast in the 2.8 range, including my favorite 300mm IS L lens as shown
here.
For the real long captures, I prefer my 500mm IS L 4.0 lens. When coupled with
a 1.4 or 2.0 multiplier, the images are still crisp, vibrant and superb. To produce quality images, I
prefer to use only Canon's best lenses (L
series).
For storage, I carry a total of 32 gig's
of memory, which gives me a very large shooting capacity in
RAW format, and massive capability in JPG format.
My tripod is made by Manfrotto, model 4588. It is quick release, which
allows for quick setup and take down. Just press one button per leg and
you can quickly level or take down the whole tripod.
The tripod head I use is a Wimberley,
Version II. The Wimberley head has to be the best product on the planet. This head is
a
perfectly balanced with even the largest lenses. It is the perfect addition
to a fantastic tripod.
I try to let the images speak for themselves
and pride myself on little if any software enhancements. In simple terms,
basically what
you see is what I have captured in my view finder. Thank you for your interest!
Sincerely,
Brian K. Morrow~
